A car using X kinds of synthetic rubber
The automobile industry consumes over 65% of the world's production of rubber. As the automotive technologies improve, so is the demand on the performance of rubber tires, which has prompted a rapid development of synthetic rubber. A large number of experiments have shown that SSBR rubber tires can improve resistance to rolling and grip on wet roads, making it an essential component of high-performance tires. Nitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR) is the most suitable engine oil inlet and outlet tubing material because of its excellent anti-aging properties as well as its resistance to oil, solvent, and heat. SEBS offers good elasticity and impact resistance and is used in airbag cover. Thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) based compound is used in window seal, which conforms to the requirements for weather resistance and low temperature resistance, etc. In addition to automotive applications, synthetic rubber is also used to produce many life enhancing items such as shoe soles, toys, building materials, household goods, and industrial supplies.
