Combining the characteristics of rubbers and plastics, thermoplastic elastomer(TPE) is easily processed, allowing for direct injection-molding and flash recycling as well as eliminating waste disposal problems. TPE finds profound applications in shoe soles, and this market is growing at a rapid speed. TPE also finds applications as adhesives, hot melts, plastic modifications, asphalt modifications, and many other areas yet to be developed. It is expected the TPE will have a promising market potential.
