GHG reduction achievements recognized! TSRC is the only chemical company to receive the “Net Zero Label”

As global warming intensifies, net zero emissions has become a global trend. TSRC firmly implements corporate social responsibilities and has already launched the group’s carbon reduction path planning, responding to the international low-carbon transition direction, while improving operational resilience and sustainable value. This year, it won the “Net Zero” Label from the “Taiwan Net Zero Action Alliance (TANZE)” and this “Net Zero Label” certification affirms the achievements and paths of carbon reduction, becoming the only chemical company receiving by the Net Zero Label!
Since its establishment 50 years ago, TSRC has continued to innovate and progress. In the face of the worsening climate risk environment, it has made greater efforts to accelerate the low-carbon transition. Through optimizing processes, reducing energy consumption, investing in high-efficiency equipment, and expanding the use of renewable energy, it has driven forward greenhouse gas emissions reduction and reached annual carbon reduction target every year. In 2023, carbon emissions has been reduced by 8.3% compared with the base year (2021), exceeding the original annual target of 5% emission reduction.
In response to the Paris Agreement and Taiwan’s 2050 national goal of net-zero emissions, the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE) and China Steel Corporation, Chunghwa Telecom and other companies established the Taiwan Net-Zero Action Alliance, calling on organizations to apply a two-stage approach of “Commitment” and “Achievement” (with a third-party certification) to reach net-zero emissions and contribute to the earth’s climate change mitigation and sustainable development. Only after the review of a panel of experts to confirms the applicant’s “committed” net-zero action plan and pre-achieved annual goals, it can obtain the net-zero “Green Level” label.
In the future, TSRC will continue to work on reducing GHG emissions to reduce the impact of global warming, aiming to reduce GHG emissions by 10% in 2025 and 22.5% in 2030, gradually moving towards carbon neutrality.
