TSRC Receives Net Zero Label Again in 2025 Leading the Chemical Industry in Reaching a Sustainable Milestone

TSRC once again receives “Net Zero Label” from the Taiwan Net Zero Action Alliance in 2025, becoming the only chemical company to receive this honor. This recognition not only highlights TSRC’s leadership in Net Zero transformation but also demonstrates its long-term commitment to sustainable development.

TSRC’s corporate vision is to enrich the quality of human life through innovative technologies and create sustainable value and benefits for its stakeholders. Therefore, it has long adhered to the principles of corporate social responsibility and sustainable operations. In recent years, TSRC has continued to invest in optimizing utility systems and processes and coupled with high-efficiency equipment to reduce GHG emissions. It also utilizes diverse strategies such as renewable energy procurement to achieve the carbon reduction target every year. In 2024, carbon emissions were reduced by 9.44% compared to the base year, exceeding the original annual target of 7.5% emissions reduction, setting a new benchmark for sustainable development in the chemical industry.

In response to the Paris Climate Agreement and Taiwan’s national goal of net-zero emissions by 2050, the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE) has partnered with China Steel Corporation, Chunghwa Telecom, and other companies to establish the Taiwan Net Zero Action Alliance. This initiative calls on organizations to achieve net-zero carbon emissions in phases through a two-stage process of “commitment” and “achievement,” contributing to climate change and sustainable development. Applicants must submit expert reviews confirming their “committed” net-zero action plans and their anticipated annual targets before they can receive the Net Zero Label, Green Grade.

Looking to the future, TSRC will continue to strive to achieve carbon reduction goals and develop low-carbon products and actively collaborate with the supply chain to assist more value chain partners in moving towards sustainable development goals and usher in a new era of low-carbon economy together.
